What is "Dream Slim Club"?
A club formed by patients operated by Laparo-obeso Center for obesity or metabolic disorders-for the benefit of patients.
Aims:
To create an important source of information about Obesity, it's co-morbidities and it's treatment for Laparo-obeso center’s post operative, pre-operative patients and their family/friends.
It is an excellent opportunity for all to get together and share their experiences as they progress through different stages of their treatment. Just as the treatment procedure is individualized and depends on various factors the experiences of patients is also be varied and informative to all.
Pre-operative patients will meet those who have "been there" which will guide them to make the commitment and readily face challenges, if any, in future.

The "Dream Slim Club" meets once a month on every third Thursday of the month between 5pm to 7 pm to discuss various aspects of the pre-operative course like:

Guided by nutritionist / registered dietician-patients will understand the nutritional value of various food types and discuss and trade recipes! |
| Psychological / Emotional changes |

Associated with Obesity and also during the post-surgical course. Discuss with Psychologist / Counselor and help others through personal experiences.. |
| Cosmetic Problems |
: |
Discuss all minor and major problems of skin changes/sagging etc and it's solutions. Discuss the role of re-constructive surgery with team’s plastic surgeons. |
| Body Fitness |
: |
Discuss how to include various forms of physical activities in patient's daily routine to help weight loss and its maintenance with the guidance of professional Instructors / physiotherapists. |
Understand the importance of follow-up and early detection of an impending problem.
Make new friends with people you can personally relate to who will make the patient look at life positively. So there is gain in loss!
